THE STORY BEHIND MEL & KAI 

​

I am South - African and we also lived in Tanzania and Ghana for almost 10 years. It was during these times that I fell in love with the beautiful African designs and colours and out of this,

MEL & KAI  was born.

 

Mel & Kai is based in Port Elizabeth - South-Africa and all our materials are from South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and Ghana.  Russel and Oppah are two of the team members :

   -  Russel is very creative and does all the upholstery and sewing and also helps with the designs.

  -  Oppah  again is very good with her hands and she does all the beading and other hand work.
